Frequently Asked Questions

WHY ATTEND A SWIM SCHOOL?

Fast Lane Swim School has been designed for males and females of all ages – who are completely new to swimming as well as youngsters with basic water skills and even adults wanting to improve their strokes and fitness levels.

The statistics for children and adults who drown in pool water and open waters each year is alarming – therefore we believe it is our responsibility to help educate both children and parents on water safety and how to respect the water.

Attending a swim school is a very important part of a child’s personal development. It is also an excellent physical activity that provides children with improved co-ordination, flexibility and posture.

The more practice your child gets, the quicker they will advance in the pool.

WHAT ABOUT TRAINING IN WINTER?

As with any sport, continual practice is essential for children to improve on their skill and fitness levels. We feel it is extremely important for our swimmers to continue to practice their technique and to better the proficiency level achieved throughout the warmer months, as by not doing so could lower one’s fitness level and abilities, making it harder when returning to the pool. Another great reason to keep swimming throughout the cooler months, is so you can maintain a healthy immune system, and help fight off those nasty winter flu’s. We offer training all year, no matter the climate in our fully enclosed indoor heated pools.
